CURRENT PROJECTS
- Raising the Standard at Braemar Castle: This is a 2-year project (due to run from 2021 to 2023) funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund . We are currently revising the Evaluation Framework for the scheme and will carry out Interim Reviews, a Midterm Review and a Final Evaluation over the next two years.
- We are providing business support to new and existing social enterprises in West Cumbria under the Spark Programme, which is funded through the Transforming West Cumbria programme. Recent clients include Clean Up Cumbria, Fresh Bus, Northern Fells Group and Time to Change.
- Chase & Chalke Landscape Partnership: This is a 4-year scheme (due to run from 2020 to 2024) funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund under the Landscape Partnerships programme. We developed an Evaluation Framework for the scheme and will carry out the Midterm Review and Final Evaluation in 2022 and 2024 respectively.
- We are currently delivering business support on capacity building to two organisations (Barrow AFC Community Sports CIC and Stricklandgate House Trust) under the Francis C Scott Charitable Trust’s Step Change programme.
- Eskdale Mill Restoration Project: This is a 3-year project (due to end in 2022) funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund under the Heritage Grants programme. We developed an Evaluation Framework for the scheme, carried out a Midterm Review in 2020 and are currently working on the Final Evaluation.
- We are part of a consortium that has been providing business support to new and existing social enterprises across Cumbria for well over a decade on behalf of Cumbria Social Enterprise Partnership. This includes support on issues such as legal structures and incorporation, business planning, organisational development, social impact and funding. The current contract is funded by Cumbria County Council. Recent clients include 4Eden, Brampton 2 Zero, Cando FM, Cumbria Biodiversity Data Centre, Dignity in Dementia, Rusland Horizons Trust and The Big Onion.
- South West Peak: Landscape at a Crossroads: This is a 5-year scheme (due to end in 2022) funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund under the Landscape Partnerships programme. We developed an Evaluation Framework for the scheme, carried out a Midterm Review in 2018 and are currently working on the Final Evaluation.
RECENT PROJECTS
- We carried out a Strategic Review of the Northern Fells Group – a charity that tackles rural isolation in 7 parishes across northern Cumbria.
- We produced a Business Plan for an eco-village for homeless people in West Cumbria.
- We organised a series of online Community Engagement events as part of Cumbria Action for Sustainability’s Green Jobs in Cumbria project.
- Evaluation of the North Yorkshire County Record Office’s Resilient Records project: This was a 1-year project funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund under the Resilient Heritage programme. we developed an Evaluation Framework and carried out a Midterm Evaluation and Final Evaluation.
- We developed and implemented a Community Consultation exercise for the Forth Rivers Trust’s Bathgate Water Restoration Project. This project is part of the Trust’s Riverlife: Almond & Avon scheme funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund under the Heritage Grants programme. The findings from the consultation informed the development of a masterplan for the project area.
- We produced a Business Plan for an ecotourism development at Naddle Farm on behalf of RSPB Haweswater.
